BioMyc Vital
Product Description
BioMyc mykorrhiza Vital Concentrate is a naturally produced, non-genetically modified product on the basis of high-quality mycorrhizal fungi. The fungal spores are in expanded clay pellets as carrier substrate. The granules have a diameter of 2-4 mm.
The mushroom substrate contains no additives and is a pure biological product, making it ideal for all lovers of organic gardening.
Mode of Action
BioMyc Vital mycorrhiza inokulum (vaccine) must be placed as close as possible to living plant roots or germinating seeds, so that the fungus can develop their optimum effect. Under appropriate conditions with adequate soil moisture and temperature, the spores germinate. Together with the plant, they form a symbiosis from which both partners benefit. The soil fungus helps the plant to more root growth and thus improved nutrient absorption, making it more resistant to disease and external influences. BioMyc Vital has a lasting effect and therfore needs only be applied once a year. Larger doses are without problems.
It is very important, that the plant is watered well after the introduction of the concentrate to ensure the fungus and plant roots optimal growth conditions.
Recommended rate of Application
Application rates depend on size of scope of pot or root.
Transplanting/repotting
- 10 ml to 0,5 l pots an root volume
- 20 ml for 1 to 2 l pots an root volume
- 75 ml for 2 to 5 l pots or root volume
- about 100ml for 5 to 10 l pots an root volume
Place just below and around the root ball. When planting into the wild, the application rates are doubled. Water well!
Cuttings and seedlings
- Mix BioMyc Vital throroughly with the potting soil, for example, 5 liters to 100 liters of seed BioMyc Vital Earth
Lawn
- When planting distribute 100 to 200 ml substrate per m² evenly on the floor and incorporate 2 to 3 cm deep into the upper soil layer.
- When scarifying and following reseeding incorparate 50 to 100 ml per m² in the upper soil layer.
Recommended storage
BioMycTM Vital mykorrhizal fungus concentrate must be stored in a dry place and should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The storage teperature may be between minus 10 and plus 30 degrees C. With appropriate storage conditions the product can easily be stored für 2 or 3 years.
Note: If BiomycTM vital mykorrhizal fungus concentrate gets wet by improper storage, spread simply on newspaper, etc. at room temperature or in the shade to dry. After that it should be consumed soon. Possible condensation on the bag is normal and caused by the slight moisture of the clay granuls. Store in slightly opened bag.
